Stanley Roffe - Director of Racquet Sports / USPTA and LTA Certified Teaching Professional Stanley joined the Meadow Creek family in May 2018 and is originally from King’s Lynn, Norfolk in England. Stanley recently launched Roffe's Tennis Consulting, a sports management company that works with players in the Intermountain Division. He is involved in both the Adult and Junior programming and strives to make people grow as tennis players and as people, too. He oversees the Meadow Creek’s Junior Team Tennis program and our USTA tournaments. He came to the US to play collegiate tennis on a scholarship to the University of Mount Olive, a top 25 NCAA Division II school. Following a successful collegiate career, he continued his passion to teach tennis. He became certified by the British Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) at age sixteen and became USPTA certified shortly after graduating college. He has tennis teaching experience in the UK and USA in three capacities including a collegiate coach, club coach, and as a Summer camp coach. Some coaching highlights include having multiple players earn scholarships to US Colleges, directing Junior and Adult teams, and having three American Southwest Conference players of the week. Jamal Heydari - Director of Racquet Sports / USPTA Elite Certified Tennis ProfessionalJamal’s competitive tennis career started in the Chicagoland area. In high school, Jamal placed in the Illinois State Finals and went on to play collegiately in Junior College as well as captaining the Loyola University Chicago Club Tennis Team. During this process, he recognized that his leadership qualities could take him to new heights. Tennis brings people together, and Jamal (Coach Jam) chose to connect with individuals by coaching them to become better athletes and better people. Jamal left Chicago for Colorado in 2009. Since then, Jamal has gained a reputable recognition as the new, young, charismatic tennis pro in the Denver Metro area. Jamal was the head coach at Mullen and Broomfield High Schools leading both schools to the top 5 honors in the state. He has worked for many notable tennis clubs throughout the Denver area. Most recently, he was the Director of Tennis at The Club at Rolling Hills for the past 3 years. Meadow Creek is fortunate to have Jamal join our family in September of 2022. Jamal is motivated to bring his positive coaching tactics, knowledge of the game, and leadership skills to the Meadow Creek community and is looking forward to grow as an individual/professional with our program’s success. Radka Lacjak - USPTA Teaching Professional Radka started playing organized tennis at the age of 5 in Czech Republic. As she became more passionate about the sport she obtained high state and regional junior rankings in her home country. She became certified (by the Czech Tennis Association) at the age of 16 when she started gaining her first valuable tennis teaching experience. She continued to teach tennis when she moved to Colorado in 1999, earning her USPTA certification shortly after. Since then, Radka has been working as a tennis teaching professional in the Evergreen community, sharing her love for tennis with players in Evergreen, Mount Vernon Country Club and Genesee. She has also coached both the boys and girls varsity teams at Evergreen High school. Radka is a dedicated 5.0 player herself, participating in many USTA tournaments and leagues throughout the years, including being a part of a 5.0 women’s USTA team advancing to the National Championship at Indian Wells. Aaron Johnson - USPTA Teaching Professional Aaron grew up in beautiful White Bear Minnesota where the great outdoors and water sports were a way of life. Aaron attended Tyler Junior College where he graduated with a degree in Tennis Management. While at Tyler he helped lead his team to a 2013 National Championship. After college, Aaron spent time in Minnesota at a prestigious club teaching tennis before he relocated to Colorado and joined the Meadow Creek family. He graced us with his famous smile and optimistic attitude for two years before the mountains called. Aaron made stops in Steamboat Springs and Snowmass before giving up his snowboard for a surfboard and relocated to Hawaii to continue teaching tennis. It didn’t take long for Aaron to realize that Colorado is his happy place. Aaron is once again part of the Meadow Creek family, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him back on the team! Outside of tennis, Aaron loves any and all snow sports, golfing, and playing the guitar. On the rare occasion Aaron is not on the court or on the snow, you most likely will find him at any one of Denver’s popular music venues, as concerts are a way of life for this guy!ajohnson@meadowcreektennis.com
Cody Curtis - Teaching Professional Cody began playing tennis in the parks and rec program in Missoula, Montana. He quickly developed a passion for tennis that would shape his future endeavors. His success on the high school tennis team, culminating in a State title during his senior year, marked the beginning of a promising tennis career. Transitioning to Montana State University, Cody continued to excel both academically and athletically. Graduating in just three years with a degree in applied mathematics and a minor in statistics, Cody’s intellect and determination were evident both on and off the court. His leadership skills were also showcased as he took on the role of Club President for MSU’s tennis team. After graduation, Cody relocated to Colorado to continue his tennis prowess and began coaching at Lakewood Park Tennis Center. It wasn’t long before Meadow Creek caught wind of Cody, and knowing a good thing when we saw it, brought him on full-time. Beyond tennis, Cody’s adventurous spirit shines through with his love for activities like disc golf, rock climbing, and hitting the gym to build his finger strength. His boundless energy and passion for staying active make him a well-rounded individual and one we are proud to call family.
Art Turnbill – USPTA and IFP Teaching Professional Art discovered his passion for tennis in the 8th grade while living in Hawaii. After an impressive high school tennis career, he continued his journey at the University of New Mexico. While there, Art not only sharpened his tennis skills but also developed a deep love for tennis instruction through the Parks and Rec department. In the mid-90’s, Art relocated to Colorado, taking on professional roles at Denver Country Club, Monaco Athletic Club, and most recently serving as the Head Tennis Professional at Glenmoor Country Club. Throughout his career, Art has been an active USTA league player, representing Colorado in both Sectional and National level play. As a coach, he successfully led the Kent Denver High School boys’ and girls’ tennis teams to two State Championships. His love for teaching extends beyond tennis to pickleball, a sport he has been playing for over a decade. Certified to teach pickleball, Art enjoys contributing to the sport’s rapid rise in popularity. Passionate about building vibrant tennis communities, Art is known for creating fun and engaging events. (Be on the lookout for some exciting events by Art in the future!) Outside of his professional life, he enjoys spending time with his adult daughter, attending live music shows, cooking for friends, golfing, and planning his next travel adventure.
Krysta Szeto – Teaching Professional Born and raised in Richmond, California, Krysta discovered her love for tennis at the age of 12. She quickly advanced in the sport and began coaching at local middle and high school camps, as well as tennis training camps throughout the San Francisco Bay area. In high school, Krysta played in the top singles spot and earned the WCAL First Team Award. Her love of the sport brought her to the Colorado School of Mines, where she majored in Biochemical Engineering with a minor in Biomedical Engineering. While at Mines, she served as a tennis club officer and captain of the club’s traveling team. Club practices brought her to Meadow Creek where she met the staff and quickly realized she had found her home! Krysta was brought on as a tennis pro in June 2023. Outside of tennis, Krysta is enthusiastic about staying active through other sports such as running, kickboxing, cycling, and climbing. Having recently graduated, she is excited to channel her enthusiasm for tennis into teaching by helping players of all ages grow and develop their love for the game.
Samuel Banister - Tennis Professional Growing up on the Gulf Coast, Sam developed a passion for tennis at an early age. Influenced by renowned tennis professionals such as Steve Pennington and Doug Hague, Sam earned opportunities to compete in tennis tournaments across the country, including ITF Juniors, Futures, Challengers and Qualifiers. Sam spent most of his high school years at the prestigious John Newcombe Tennis Ranch in New Braunfels, Texas, where he refined his skills and prepared to compete at the highest level. After graduating, he moved to New York City to train through the USTA and competed in a series East Coast tournaments many of which were part of the John McEnroe Tennis Academy. Following his time in New York, Sam returned south where he became a tennis professional at the University of Texas Golf and Tennis Club, where he led a variety of adult and junior clinics. Drawn to the beautiful Colorado mountains and the opportunity to learn how to ski, Sam joined the Meadow Creek family in October 2024 - and we couldn’t be happier to have him!
Jaime Stokes - General Manager Jaime started playing tennis at Meadow Creek through our QuickStart program. Once here, we realized that she would be an ideal addition to our staff, and in 2013 Jaime was brought on as our Program Coordinator. Five years later, Jaime was promoted to Assistant Club Manager, and shortly thereafter Jaime was promoted to General Manager. She continues to wear many hats in effort to keep things running seamlessly at the Club. Outside of her love for tennis, Jaime is an accomplished golfer. Jody Dart - Marketing Manager Jody joined the Meadow Creek family in 2018. If you are looking to play USTA/CTA leagues or participate in Permanent Court Time (PCT), she is the girl to talk to. Born and raised in Wisconsin, Jody relocated to Colorado in the mid-nineties to pursue her love of the outdoors and enjoy all that Colorado has to offer. Running, biking, hiking and skiing were just a few of her passions. While she still enjoys much of those things today, tennis has been thrown into the mix to help keep that competitive fire alive. Travis Ervick - Pickleball Professional Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Travis moved around the United States before settling in Evergreen with his parents and siblings. He grew up playing multiple sports but focused most on ice hockey, lacrosse, and tennis. Travis attended Mullen High School before he moved on to the University of Colorado Boulder where he graduated with degrees in International Business and Spanish for the Professions. Travis picked up tennis at the age of 16 and has been in love with the sport ever since. He is an avid racquet sports aficionado and can be seen playing platform tennis, squash, racquetball and of course, pickleball! He is currently the Director of Racquets at Mt. Vernon Canyon Club and has worked for various tennis centers across Colorado since 2013. Additionally, he coaches both high school tennis and lacrosse. Travis believes that you should always leave the court having learned something new along with receiving the workout you deserve. Without a doubt, Travis is the ultimate racquet coach. He is passionate about pickleball and can coach you through all levels of play.
Matt Moskal - Personal Trainer Matt is a certified personal trainer that is passionate about helping others take their fitness to the next level. Strength and conditioning are a critical component in developing any athlete to their full potential. Finding the right coach is the optimal way to achieve that goal. Matt thoroughly understands the value of combining speed, agility, and balance to not only improve one’s in-game skills but also prevent injury. He is also passionate about the benefits of adding stretching into their pre/post game tennis regimen. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to improve their fitness level while they extend their longevity on the court? Matt’s motto: Train Hard. Win Easy. Matt is a proud Air Force Veteran and avid world traveler. When not in the gym or on the court, he enjoys skiing, table tennis, bowling and spending time with his adult children Siarra and Austin.
